Friday Sketchers

I used some more of my PTI ink supplies to make this card. I just love the colours of the cardstock, ribbon and ink.

I coloured my Sugar Nellie Lion stamp with my copics. I so need to find out how to colour properly! I love this image, he is just so cute.
I have left this card quite simple cause I am still on my simple card quest. Its just so much easier.
hope you like. Lesley

Up, Up and away in my beautiful balloon

I made this card using my PTI Everyday Buttons stamp set. I was so not going to get this set but I am glad I did cause I adore it. I used mostly PTI but the brown card stock is stampin up chocolate chip. The ribbon is fab and it ties really nicely. I had done a nice bow but then I started messing with it and had to just tie a knot - doh me.

Anyway its another clean and simple card.

Can't wait to hear what you think!

Passion for Papertrey CAS card

This is my take on the Clean and Simple challenge on the Passion for Papertrey Blog. I just got my order from Papertrey Ink today. I have been waiting for it since I ordered it - I am a bit impatient lol.
Card design is not my strong point. I tend to be inspired by others but decided to try it for myself this time. I am pleased with the result. I used all Papertrey Ink supplies.
Recipe:
Card stock: Kraft, Berry Sorbet, white card from my stash
Paper: Bitty baby blessings
Stamp: Everyday buttons
Embellishments: berry sorbet buttons, cream button twine
I am pleased with this card but am now nervous that it is not a clean and simple card. Ooer!
I would love to hear other peoples' opinions.
Thanks for looking

Project Tuesday 1st Sept 2009

I almost had a canary when I saw the template for this tutorial! I found it more difficult than other Project Tuesday tutorials. But is persevered and I am glad I did. I did very little stamping on this project but I love how cute it is.

Can't wait to hear what you think!

Friday Sketch

I have decided to try and get to grips with my copics again. I just feel I am not getting the

shading right. I think I may be a bit heavy handed. Anyway I gave up on this image and used my trusty watercolour pencils instead.

I added my first ever hand made crochet flower instead of using a prima flower. I know its a bit big but I am proud of my first attempt.

I am not sure about the blues though. It needs something else. I just need to think and figure out what! http://fridaysketchersblog.blogspot.com/2009/08/friday-sketchers-67-sponsored-by-verve.html

Let me know what you think!

Crochet flowers

I saw some cute crochet flowers on another blog and thought I would get some and try them for myself. I could not believe how much they cost! So I decided to head over to You Tube for some lessons in crochet. My first ones are not bad but they should improve with practice. I am waiting to get smaller thread so I can make smaller flowers.

I would love to hear what you think of them!
