Make it Monday

I have lost my mojo recently so I decided to try and make a card for this weeks challenge. Well I kept things simple to try and kick start my creative juices.

I pulled out my wonderfully whimsical stamp set and stamped 3 houses in black onto white cardstock. I then decided I wanted this card to be monochromatic and so mounted the white piece onto black cardstock.

My houses seemed to be hovering in mid air so since I needed a sentiment strip I decided to add a little green to anchor my houses.

I love the simplicity of this card. Hopefully I will be back in the mood to make cards.

Birthday Notebook

I made this for my best friends little sister. I thought this would be cute either in her handbag or on her desk at work.

I decided to do a double notebook and tried to make it up just using the notepads themselves. In the end I made the spine too wide. So I had to some up with a solution.

So I decided to make a pencil holder on the inside of the spine. I am pleased with how this turned out.

The gift went down well - at least she said she liked it!
