Birthday Cake

This was one of my 3 birthday cakes I was lucky enough to get for my birthday. This was hand made by my friend Gayle. She made it pink to match my craft room. How sweet? Anyway what you can't see is that the inside is pink too(well was pink). So cute.

PTI Blog Hop - Scallops

I am a bit late doing this for the blog hop but better late than never I guess.

I am loving the button boutique set. It is absolutely fabulous.

Envelope for Engagement Card

I made this card to go with the engagement congratulations card I made. It doesn't match the card but I thought it would be cute.

Make It Monday Glitter strip

Ok I made an effort and I am going to enter the competition this week. I had an engagement card to make for an ex pupil eek. SO I decided I just had to use my new button set and I adore it. I adhered my glitter strip to the edge and used two different sizes of scor tape.

I kept the card very simple because of the bling down the side but the crystals on the sentiment make up for the simplicity :)

60th Birthday Card

This was made for the same colleague who ordered the 70th Birthday card. Its for a female this time and I actually made this card first. Although I actually prefer the male card. I'm not sire hwy cause I am not a fan of green. Weird!

70TH Birthday Card

I am getting lots of use out of my big birthday wishes stamp set from PTI at the moment. It is going on every birthday card I am making. It is juts fab. I love being able to personalise the card for the persons age. Excellent.

This card is made for a colleague to give to a friend. The friend is male and in his seventies - obviously lol. So I kept it very simple but totally masculine colours.

I actually really like this card. I much prefer it to the feminine card I made you will see tomorrow.

Make it Monday and Papertrey Inkers Challenge

I made this using my favourite flower colours. There is a beautiful deep pink and white rose my mum used to get in the flower shop which matches raspberry fizz and white. So i added black as an accent colour to make it pop a bit.

Think Big - Birthday

This is the second card i made for the think big contest. But I missed it - typical of me lol.
This is for my friend Louise. Her birthday is in October but I am trying to be prepared lol.

Make it Big

No its not a McDonald's request. Its today's challenge on Nichole's blog.

I cut the tag from my cricut at 6inches. I also cut a tag at the same size in patterned paper. I cut a strip from the patterned tag to add to mine.

I added a strip of spring moss along the top and bottom of the tag.

I decided that this tag would look cute with some butterflies fluttering on it. So I die cut some out of different colours of cardstock. I added pearls for their bodies.

I am chuffed with the result. Cute.

PTI Colour Challenge Masculine Valentines Card

The colour challenge for PTI is to make a card using certain colour palettes. I chose Heather's colours because i needed to design a valentines card for one of my co-workers to give to her fiance.

I had little time to do it so I kept the design simple and very similar to my last valentines card. Who needs to innovate when I can modify huh! lol

Valentines Card Commission

I was asked by a friend to make a Valentines card for her Brother to give to his fiancee. I am not good at making cards for other people cause I worry about whether they will like it or not.

I try to make them personal. My favourite colour is Raspberry Fizz by Papertrey Ink so I paired it with some fab PTI patterned paper called Simply Valentine. I don't have a valentines set - shock horror lol. SO I had to be quite creative.

I used some pink thickers that I bought in Boston during the summer. The Happy and day are from two of my PTI sets. I added a bit of raspberry fizz ribbon for a bit of girlishness.
The card was cut on my cricut using the wild card Cartridge.
I still have to make the envelope but I will do that and add it in later.

Make it Monday Card

This is my take on the new Make it Monday PTI competition. I have gone for a best wishes birthday theme. The colour combo was inspired by a pin board I have been making for my craft room. Pics will be added later.

I have kept the card relatively simple as I cannot do layers very well! I guess I need more practice but they just seem to stress me out and I don't know where to start. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Take Care.

Birthday Card for Margaret

This is for my colleague at work. She let it slip that she loves Hot air balloons. Well as soon as I got home after she told me I got out my up, up and away stamp set and got colouring. I like the look of the vellum over the Hawaiian shores. The cut out clouds are very cute. Of course no hot air balloon is complete without a bit of glitter sigh :)

Take care

Birthday Card for Yvonne

I just love smokey shadow. I got some in the last order from PTI. It is such a nice colour. It looks fab with raspberry fizz. This is an ultra feminine card because Yvonne is a very feminine person.

Hopefully she will love this card. I am very reluctant to give it away. It is sitting up on my shelf in my newly updated craft room (more about that later).

PTI Anniversary Tags Download

I think as soon as I saw the tags available for download I knew which one was going to be my favourite.

I just love the little rainbow and clouds. It is such a cute image and looks fab coloured.

I decided to go ultra bright cause its a cheery image. So I made the image into a little rosette and worked it from there. I then chose some bright colours which were in the rainbow colours to layer. I didn't want my usual layering so I decided to make a wider layer for the rosette to sit on.
I have been meaning to use a button on a card for ages so decided to pull out my buttons and do it. I am quite happy with how it turned out.
Take care. Any questions just ask.

Number Dies from PTI

I am loving these new number dies. They look fab when cut. I decided to make a card for a colleague who will be turning 31 this year.

It is a masculine card so I have kept it simple and hopefully masculine.
