Tatty Teddy Cake

I made this cake last week for my friends youngest daughters christening. The cake was a toffee cake and it was covered with white chocolate ganache. it was then covered with grey fondant before being piped with fudge buttercream.

The cake tasted delicious and I got lots of amazing comments from people. It had been a while since I made a cake so I am very pleased with how it turned out.

I would love to hear what you think.

Papertrey Ink Day 8

I cut this heart out free hand as I dont own any heart dies or even stamps! Big Gasp!

SO I made do with making my own. I seem to be obsessed by butterflies at the moment. I adore the butterfly dreasm stamp set. It is just so versatile and gives a great look on a card.

The card measures 3 1/2 x 3 1/2.

PTI Day 6

I used sketch number 4 to base my card on. i kept it very close to the original sketch. I like the simplicity of the card but also the bold colour combo.

Can't wait to see tomorrow. Lx

PTI Anniversary Day 4

I chose Heather's colours for my card today. I do love these colours together. I almost wished I had added a little bit of raspberry fizz behind the spring moss to give it a bit of a pop. But I still like this card.

I made it for a colleagues birthday which is at the weekend. I will give her the card and present on Friday along with some home baking I intend to do! Haven't got a clue what I am going to bake yet though lol.

PTI Freebie Images

This is my take on the freebie images from PTI. I have kept it very simple using my favourite aquas and kraft colours I adore. I also coloured the little heart image red cause its so close to Valentines Day!

My PTI Tribute

I am going to dedicate this project to Ashley Cannon Newell. I found myself drawn to the same kind of things she has listed as her favourite things. I first discovered Ashley doing a PTI haul video on you tube and I was immediately drawn to her warm style of filming and her personality came over so well.

I could have chosen any of the design team because each and every one of them is an inspiration.

Thank you PTI and Congratulations on your 5th Birthday.

Make it Monday Shaker Card

This is my take on this weeks Make it Monday. I always have good intentions of making these cards earlier than Sunday but I never seem to manage it. Hey ho. At least I ave tried I guess :)

I have kept this card very simple. I just felt int hat kind of mood.

I wanted a nice bright cheery colour scheme. The photo does not show the colours off well but I used Hawaiian shores, raspberry fizz and spring moss. I love these colours together. They are so fresh.

Big Hugs for visiting my blog.

I made this card which was a stepped up version of the card below

I made slight changes and maybe I didn't step it up enough but hey at least I am taking part in a blog hop and am starting to post more on my blog.

So lets just call this a good start to the year and be done with it :)

Cute snowman card

I love how easy it is to make these cards. My only wish is that they were a little bigger. But such a cute thing is in a small package so I guess I can't be that put off. I have another snowman card to show you but that will have to wait til another day. Its too late and I have to get up for work boo

Tartan brooch

I made this brooch for my friend who was emigrating to Australia at the time. I love the poinsettia die and thought it would be very cute done in tartan to remind her of home.
I adore this colour of tartan and she seemed to like it too. Hopefully every time she looks at it or wears it she will remember home and those who love her dearly.

I would love to hear your thoughts on what I do. :)

Make it Monday - Ghost Masking

This is my take on this weeks Make it Monday challenge. It has been a while since i have taken part in this but I decided it was time to get crafty once again.

I made this on a 4 x 4 card which seems to be my card size of preference at the moment. I used colours which remind me of primary school - the colours of my uniform were purple and gold. SO I just had to go with the theme.

I finished the card but decided it needed a bit of bling so I added some gems on. I changed the gems to smaller ones after I took this pic. I also added some twine and a button - another thing I don't often do. Maybe this year will be my year of embellishment!

Hope you like it. I would love to hear what you think of my card.

Thank you

Gift Card Holders

I actually made these gift card holders before Christmas for one of my many craft fairs. I have been having bother uploading pictures to my blog and have had to go back to the old blogger interface to see if this helps.

Has anyone else had issues adding pics? If you have how did you resolve them?

Anyway this post is to show off these cute gift card holders. I decided to use my snowman die and cut out the snowman head. I added a belly band round the middle and these were very popular. I only wish I had made more of them!!! Note to self - make more earlier lol. Start now!

So this is my first post of 2012 and I am hoping to get back into blogging more regularly. We shall see how that goes!
