Other Craft Fair pics

These are the remaining photos from my craft fair from the other week. I have finally got around to putting them on the blog.

Coffee GIft boxes

I made these cute boxes on my cricut. They are of course cut from PTI card stock! What else? I made sure I cut out a window and then added a piece of acetate behind the window so the goodies don't fall out.

Inside is a 3 pack of Starbucks via sachets and either a cadbury's wishes chocolate star - yum or a mint aero Christmas tree double yum.

These are a great gift for colleagues or neighbours. I am hoping these and my tea version do well at upcoming craft fairs.

Fingers crossed.

Passion For Papertrey

Here is my first post in over a month. I have absolutely no excuses because I have made lots of projects. I have just forgotten to take pics of them. By the time I remember I have given the item away.

Anyway I have lots of pics of new projects which will be going up bit by bit.

I made this tag for the Passion for Papertrey Challenge. Again its been a while since I have done any challenges so I am quite excited about posting this :)

I would love to hear any comments.

Mehndi Meddalion card set

I am still loving this cute stamp set. It is such a fab image which is great to stamp.

I wanted these to be bright and colourful. Yet i also wanted them to be classy too.

I would love to hear what you think.

Falls of Clyde

The Falls of Clyde are a series of waterfalls which are only a few miles away from me. It is a lovely walk which is almost 8 miles with the journey there and back. It took 2 hours for my friend and I to walk to yesterday and it was lovely.

The falls were in full spate because the power station was closed for repairs. The roar of the falls was really impressive. Amazing.

This is definitely a must see attraction for someone visiting the area.

Medallion Thank you set 1

This was my second 4x4 card set I made with the mehndi medallion set.

I wanted this one kept very simple. This will be so easy to replicate for thank you cards. I am toying with the idea of making them for my cousin since she is due to give birth soon.

I like the two types of font on this card set. I adore the cut out colours which echo the ink colours.

Again I have stamped the envelopes for that finished look.

4 x 4 Note card Congrats set

This is using a long anticipated set from me which was the Mehndi Medallion. This set is so versatile and easy to use. IT stamps beautifully and I love it.

I made 2 other note cards sets yesterday before I could put it down lol.

In this set I also stamped the envelope to give it a nicer look.

These cards are stamped all over whereas the next two sets are more CAS.

Hope you enjoy.

Daydreamer Stamp Set from PTI

This was one of my new sets I just received. I love these flower images which are so versatile for making cards with for any occasion.

I used the new paper pad called Funky Town which is very vibrant and very yummy.

I tried to use the colours from the paper to stamp the flowers and also to make a band for the middle of the card.

This card is probably busier than I normally do cards but I do kinda like it for a change.

Felt Bracelet: Cornish Waters

This is the last bracelet I have to show you this time round.

This is nice muted shades of blues and whites. It is meant to represent the waters off Cornwall. I like this because I love blues.

This would be great to wear on a trip to a seaside resort. Perfect for the Hampton's :)

Felt Bracelet: Jacob Wool

This is the only felt I made using Jacob wool. The texture is much coarser and as a result I found it quite difficult to work with. I am not as satisfied with the results but I jazzed it up a bit with a cute feather charm.

Anyway this colour is known as humbug because it is meant to look like mint humbug sweets.

Felt Bracelet: Neutrals

This is my next installment of felty goodness. I am nearing the end of my goodies and normal service will return and card making will be back. Fingers crossed.

This has a nice neutral colour scheme which would be good for work or play!

Take Four: Tropical Sea

This is my fourth bracelet. You must be getting fed up of them by now! Hopefully not. I am loving making them at the moment. So prepare for even more lol.

This is a lovely collection of blues and turquoises. It is reminiscent of the Caribbean seas - Sigh!

Another favourite. :)

Take Three: Peacock

This is one of my favourites. I love the mix of colours in this bracelet. It is fun, fresh and funky. I have shown a few friends and the response has been positive. Woo hoo.

This is my peacock bracelet. This is the first one I made!

Take Two: Felt

This is my second offering from my many bracelets. This is my rainbow inspired colours. I have tried to coordinate the charms on the clasp to match the mood. It felt summery so I used a flower charm.

These will eventually be going up on my folksy site so just give me a shout if you like any of them before I put them on.

I have been making alot of felt beads recently and I sat one night and made them into cute bracelets.

I am pretty happy with how they have turned out. This is the first bracelet but I warn you I made a whole bunch of them. You have been warned lol.

Papertrey Ink July Blog Hop

I love the colour combination. This is definitely one I would not use but I think it works really well together. I had a bit of a struggle putting the card together but it is finished and is semi ok!

Make It Monday Edger Dies

I am making this project right at the wire again. I resolve to make my project quicker for the next Make it Monday.

Anyway in my head I had an image of a rainbow peeking out of the pocket. So I started with my rainbow. I coloured it in and put some glittered clouds on the front and also one on the back to use as a tag.

I made the pocket using my one and only edger die. I then stamped some polka dots - just cause I felt like it! No other reason lol.

On the background of the card I used the cloud stamp and used a rock n roll effect so the clouds were not solid. I am pleased with how the background came out.

Anyway its a very simple card. I hope you like it.

Felt Beads My first attempt

I tried my hand at making felt beads during the week. They took me a bit of time to make them but I am pleased with the result. They are not perfect but I think that is the beauty of them.

I will try and make them into a bracelet. This will be posted as soon as I manage it.

Make it Monday Polaroid

I am very late making and uploading this card. It has been a beautiful few days. Very warm and sunny - unusual in Scotland lol. It has been glorious so I have not had the chance to do this weeks Make it Monday.

So last thing Sunday night I decided I need to rectify this. I tried the technique with craft cardstock but did not like the finish. The i decided I wanted to use colour and so I settled on Spring Moss. I love this colour.

I struggled for a stamp set but thought it would be cute to use the tree from falling leaves because I could use the apple. I also thought it would be cute to use my new apple stamp to make a background with.

I am happy with the results. Its not my usual style but it is still ok. I love the Make it Monday cause it gives us the chance to learn new skills.

Have a fab day

Notebook for Lauren

Lauren is Laird's Big Sister. She is just made to be a big sister. She is bright, funny and absolutely nuts lol.

Anyway I don't like taking one child a present then not taking another anything. So I decided to make Lauren a wee pressie.

I have been making alot of notebooks recently so I decided she could get one to doodle in. I just had to use the doll image form the simply charmed cart. It is just so pretty.

The paper was echo park and I just love their paper. It is so bright and funky.

I added a tag and so purple saddle stitch ribbon.

I also made a little something to go with it which I will post tomorrow.

Card for Baby Laird

My cousin recently gave birth to a healthy baby boy called Laird. I bought some cute clothes for him today and so decided to make a card.

I am now on my summer holidays - woo hoo.

I used a cricut cart I forgot I had - the Simply Charmed one. It has got such cute images. I cut out the baby bottle in boy colours. I also cut out a phrase which says welcome little one. This is from the same cart.

I deliberately kept it very simple but I love how cute it came out. The baby bottle is so sweet. I loved this image so much I cut out another which you will be able to see tomorrow. How cute are those googly eyes?

Big Hugs to all who read my blog.

Congratulations card

This is an overdue card. I should have made this last week but due to my SQA marking I didn't have the time or energy.

I got in from my schools prize giving at 9.30 pm and I decided I needed to make the card. I already had half an idea in my mind for the card. I knew I wanted to use the new anniversary set and I also knew I wanted to try a different stamp apart from the poppy one.

So I decided I felt like bright pink card base. Hardly surprising since my favourite colour is raspberry fizz. I love this paired with aqua mist (i was going to use lemon tart with it but I felt it was just too bright for what I was planning to make.

I die cut my shape I wanted to stamp on and then stamped my pretty flowers and used my chai ink to distress the edges subtly.

I then cut a slice of aqua mist and impressed it with my wood grain plate. LOVE IT!! I added a white mat to add a bit of contrast.

I then fished out my new sentiment set with the word dies. Too cute. Then I put the card together.

I am quite quietly impressed with it. I should have said it is for one of my colleagues who found out that not only does she have a permanent contract but she is staying with us. Yippee.

Blue Poppies

I made this notebook in tribute to some fabulous Himalayan poppies that my dad and I see every year when we visit Luss, Loch Lomond. In the village there is a garden with the most gorgeous blue poppies in. Every year I promise myself I will get some in my garden. This summer I am determined to get my garden sorted out. So I am getting some this year! :)

We stopped at this fab coffee shop for soup and cakes. OMG yum yum. It was so good. Then we decided to take a drive to Oban (further away than I realised).

Poppies must be the theme of the day because we stopped at a garden centre outside of Oban called Poppies. It was lush. My dad had a cake - I was being good.

On the way back we drove through Glencoe which is stunningly beautiful and very atmopsheric.

Such a a fab day.

Butterfly Notebook

This has been made for the same little girl as the strawberry notebook. It is just so cute. I particularly love this patterned paper. It is such a nice colour combination.

Strawberry Notebook

I recently re-discovered my Bind It All. I am totally loving makign these cute notebooks. I made this one for a work colleague for her grand daughter. The inside pages are lined and the little girl is just starting school in August. So this will be for practising her letters in. How cute is that?
