Busy, Busy, Busy

I have not posted anything since Saturday which is truly shocking. This is my last post of August. Can't believe it is August already!Time flies. Anyway I have a new card to post and also some sweet crochet flowers I made. First time I have crocheted - learned from You Tube. Yay You tube!

I need to get some proper thread but they are so sweet. Can't wait to use them in my cards.

Would love to hear what you think of them.

My camera is in my car just now so I can't take pics just now. Will do it as soon as I get home from work.

Also I am impatiently waiting for my Papertrey Ink Supplies. I am really frustrated cause I know they have been waiting to be delivered in the UK since 2pm Friday. Typical it had to happen when there was a bank holiday. Hopefully I should get it Tues or wed. Will post pics as soon as I get it.

Birthday Present for a work colleague

I made these as a wee present for someone I work beside. I made a chocolate wrap which I hid a galaxy inside - YUM. My favourite chocolate. I used choc chip ink on the cherry stamp just for a different look. I love it!
I then covered a notebook from morrisons. I am so chuffed with it. It looks so cute and the note book was not expensive.
Love to hear what you think!

Project Tuesday

I absolutely loved this project. I even managed to cut the circle and scallop with my cricut. Took a bit of working out but yay to me lol.

I used tempting teal - going to have to get more of this cause its fab! This box was so easy to make and came out really nicely. This could be my box for sweets. It s great size and I added acetate to it which means the sweeties will not fall out.

Anyway that's me finished. If anyone wants to know anything else about this project just leave me a message and I will update the post :)

A Little Birdhouse in Your Soul

Sorry for pinching your song title idea Emma but the song just popped into my head when I was writing this post! Can anyone remember the song. So quirky I love it! I am off to Itunes after this lol.

I love this template for the birdhouse. It is so easy to do and looks absolutely fab. I love it. I have not made envelopes this time. I am being mean with my designer paper from Stampin up. I love it too much to use it. I so need to order more and also other colours. Oh how I wish I had more pennies! lol
I would love to hear if you think this is cute cause I ADORE it!

Basic Grey Challenge 2 - Colour Challenge

The Challenge from Basic Grey this week is a colour challenge. The colours are brown, yellow and pink. I am getting into using brown in most of my cards now so this challenge seemed ok for me. To make it even better I just got some lovely new yellow cardstock yipee.

I used basic grey designer paper - I can't remember the name. Although when I try to think of it ice cream pops into my head. Don't know if that is because they are ice cream colours or that the name is to do with ice cream . Hopefully someone will be able to help me :)

You know I love all your comments. I would love to hear what you think

Sketch Saturday

It has been a while since I did a Sketch Saturday challenge using a Sugar Nellie Stamp. In fact its been a while since I broke them out. This stamp is from the second gorjuss collection but to my dismay i hadn't even used her. She is so cute and this was her first stamping.

I need to work on my colouring as its not that great yet. Practice makes perfect though. I struggled with this card but I am pleased with the final result. The stampin up so saffron ribbon is so nice to work with and i love the bow at the top.

I love hearing from everyone.

Papertake weekly

I made this card for the Papertake Weekly Challenge, it was sketch 4. You were meant to find a sketch which was your favourite. I thought that the sketch I used was interesting and this was my take on it. I am using colours I never really used before. I have started using browns and yellows since I got some stampin up goodies. I am loving brown as a base for most cards. this barely banana colour is just so pretty. Its a very simple card but I think it is just so darn cute.

Love to hear from you

Little Green Box

I made this last night but could not post it cause my camera battery needed charging. Why does it always need charged when I need to use it? Grrr. Anyway it was a very easy box to make. It was made with an A5 sheet. It took very little time to make it.
It is so cute for a wee present. Would be fab stuffed full of sweets lol

I made this using the step by step instructions from the Project Tuesday blog. I need to add sentiments to it but have not got any inspiration. I will try and find some tomorrow and update this post.

Post it note holders

I made these cute post it note holders using step by step instructions from Split Coast Stampers. I modified the sizes to suit my needs na dI also took off the ribbon ties as these were practical gifts and the ribbon made them difficult to use.

I think they are cute. let me know what you think! Ta . Hugs. Lesley

Stamp With Us Colour Challenge

This is my entry for the stamp with us colour challenge. I covered a notepad from Morrison's.
I used the basic black to cover the back. I then cut a piece of orange to fit inside the black. I embossed it using my cuttlebug - traffic jam folder. I cut a strip of real red and added Rose red ribbon across the top. I cut out two scallops from my cricut in rose red and real red. I cut the circle on whisper white on my cricut and stamped my cherry.
Its very plain but I am in that kind of mood I guess lol.
I would love to hear what you think. Lesley

Dryer Sheet Technique

This is my late entry into the Stamp With Us Online technique. This was a great technique and looks very shiny and glittery. It makes a very simple card look effective. Definitely going to try this technique again. Lx

SAS Project Tuesday

This is my take on the Project Tuesday project. I have not added the hole for a bottle to go through. I had problems trying to get a hole with my cricut. I need to get some of the stampin up ones but that will come when I build up my stash.

I used green galore, rose red cardstock. The ribbons are regal rose and so saffron. The stamp set is tart and tangy. I cut the circle and scallop with my cricut. The DSP is from the K& Co Berry Sweet stack. Loving K&CO at the moment.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Lesley

Thank you cards

These were made using my new tart and tangy stamp from stampin up . The spotty paper is from imaginisce - its called Lady brid ball i think! The ribbon was my free so saffron - its very nice to work with.
The green cardstock was from my stash - not stampin up as I need to get some certain celery. The circle and scallop were cut with my cricut using mini monograms. I made 6 of these cards very quickly.
They are very simple but I love them for that. Clean and simple.
As always I love to hear what you think.
Lesley

New scissors

I forgot to add this to yesterday's post. I also got these in the post. I bought them from ebay. They are very sharp and I bought them for my ribbons. They are so cute cause they are pink! LOVING them.

Card made with Stampin UP Haul

This card base was made using some pale green cardstock from my stash. I was actually in the middle of making the card when the parcel came. I was just thinking of waiting til Friday to finish the card when the doorbell rang. How weird!

Anyway I cut 1 inch off one end. I also cut 11/2 inches of basic grey papers - the name escapes me at the moment. I used my MS punch to punch the end of the DS paper.

I think tied my new certainly celery ribbon round the edge. I also tied a proper bow. It looks so sweet. The ribbon is fab it ties really well.

I then cut a piece of 12 x 12 cardstock core dinations - not sure of the colour. I put it through the cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder.

I used my hostess stamp set to stamp the sentiment. I inked the edges of both the white and green cardstock. I stuck them on with dimensionals.

there you go. I was pleased with the result. Hope you like. Let me know what you think. I Love getting feedback.

Stampin Up haul

This post will have 7 pictures in it so it will be quite a long post. I didn't expect to get my parcel til Friday so it was a very nice surprise when I got a knock at the door this afternoon. I almost hugged the poor delivery man - luckily for him i restrained myself!

This is the Tart & Tangy stamp set.

I have wanted this stamp set for ages but I have kept putting it off. I am sooooo glad I bought it. I ripped it open and started playing straight away. Great quality stamp.

The next thing I bought was a chocolate chip stamp pad. I am a bit of a pansy potter (is the strong mans daughter lol) at times - at least that's what my mum and dad used to call me cause I always break things. Anyway the second time i opened the stamp pad i took the lid right off. Luckily I was able to fix it (Phew). It stamps really well and the coverage is great on stamps.

I also purchased the Rich regals A4 assorted pack. i am unsure of what colours I like yet as I am new to Stampin up. My theory is to buy all the sets and then re-stock the colours I use alot of! Will let you know how it works for me.

I also got the Bold Brights stampin write markers. Just for my Tart and Tangy set. They are so good. They put on a nice strong colour and also look great when stamped. Very cool.

Now for the most exciting part for me. As the party was a success I got loads of free stuff - YIPEE! Firstly I chose my level 1 hostess gift. I chose the stamp set called A Little bit of Happiness. It is very cute and my next post will show you the card I made using some of my new stash.

I also had some money to spend on more products. So i chose to spend my pennies on ribbon. For my money I got - real Red 5/8 grosgrain, chocolate chip 5/8 grosgrain, brocade blue 5/8 grosgrain and regal rose 5/8 grosgrain. All the ribbon I was wanting in fact. WOO HOO!

My freebies do not end there. As I spent over £45 I also got the free ribbon bundle - I got 10 yards of certainly celery and so saffron.

I now have lots of fabby ribbon. Just need to add some papertrey ink ribbon and I will be in heaven.

Hugs Lesley

Another Birdhouse

I am so obsessed with these fab little birdhouses. They are just so cute. I love making them cause they are just so easy to do. The cards at only 3 x 3 are just so ickle that they are so sweet. I love the creams, browns and oranges together. They look so yummy.
Would love to hear what you think. Lesley
Update - I just had a question on the project from the lovely Emma. Emma asked how I got the envelopes. The envelopes were cut on my cricut at 4 inches using my wild card cart. Lesley
